The AERO TRACKER is a portable eConspicuity device designed for small aircraft and general aviation.
It transmits and receives traffic positions via air-to-air technologies (ADS-B, ADS-L, OGN, FANET).
Complementary LTE provides traffic from more than 30 sources, including the SafeSky app, FLARM, Mode-S, PilotAware, navigation apps, paragliders
hardware and drones.
It implements EASA ADS-L and will stay compatible with any future update of the standard.
The device is fully supported by SafeSky.
AERO TRACKER highlights:
· Most complete situational awareness for diverse aircraft, including GA planes, gliders, paramotors, paragliders, trike, ultra-lighs, helicopters and drones
· Best inter-operable “See and be Seen” solution, combining air-to-air and mobile connectivity
· Delivers traffic data in GDL90 and NMEA formats via BLE/Wi-Fi to popular GA apps on mobile devices
· Records IGC-compliant flight data on an SD card
· Provides visibility across AERO and SafeSky networks
· 12-hour battery life
· Fully EASA ADS-L compliant and ADS-L4Mobile ready
The AERO Tracker is a versatile LTE/OGN tracker targeting the small aircraft and the drone market. The tracker supports transmission of own position via ADS-L/OGN on 868MHz, Remote ID on 2400MHz and ADS-L over LTE. There is an integrated 1090MHz RX module to receive the surrounding ADS-B traffic. The received OGN/ADS-L/FLARM/ADS-B/RID traffic is transmitted via LTE to ground networks to supplement their coverage.
An integrated buzzer gives proximity warnings. The Bluetooth and Wifi interfaces distribute the traffic situation to locally attached displays or smartphone apps.
Next to the portable battery powered tracker there is a version of the tracker for fixed installation in a drone or aircraft. Main difference are the smaller size and the missing display and control knob. A Mavlink compliant header with UART and CAN bus serves for communication.
